Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Sun Tech Over(number of shares traded: 4.28 crore), G V Films(number of shares traded: 3.94 crore), Inventure Grwth(number of shares traded: 3.79 crore), MFL India(number of shares traded: 3.13 crore), Sun and Shine(number of shares traded: 2.82 crore), Indian Info Sof(number of shares traded: 2.55 crore), Sun Retail(number of shares traded: 2.50 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.58 crore), Yamini Invst(number of shares traded: 1.36 crore) and Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 1.32 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:00AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 69.8 points down at 17710.2, while BSE Sensex was down 252.34 points at 59305.99 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.64 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 2.52 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.47 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.28 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While NTPC Ltd.(down 2.52 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 2.41 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
