Jharkhand government will table the state budget 2022-23 monetary on March 3 while the budget assembly session will start from February 25.

The meeting will be for 17 days and finish up on March 25. Governor Ramesh Bais will address the House on the first day of the season. The CM's question hour and the tabling of the third supplementary budget has been planned for February 28.

By criticising the Union Budget as "Mann Ki Baat", CM Hemant Soren however seems to focus on fulfilling expectations of all the sectors of the society (urban & rural) through his state budget 2022-23.

Last week at a pre-budget meeting, state finance minister Rameshwar Oraon had said that the JMM-drove coaliton government will think about a few long and transient ideas they had got from different quarters.

Oraon said that he personally believe that major thrust needs to be provided to boost agriculture as it will also pave the way for mass livelihoods. This apart, to reach electricity to every household, focus must be given to cut down close to 42 per cent power transmission loss through different interventions. Government's priority will be to balance lives and livelihood through the budget, he added.
