Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Garware Poly, Spectrum Electrical, Himadri Speciality, Shivalik Bimetal and Aakash Exploration, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 219.8 points down at 17560.2 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Precision Metaliks Ltd., Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., Akzo Nobel, Mallcom(India)and DC Infotech, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 11 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 39 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Divis Labs, ITC and Maruti Suzuki were among top gainers during the day, while HDFC, NTPC, SBI Life, Infosys and Grasim Inds. ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 770.31 points down at 58788.02.

Traders piled up positions in Electric/Electronics, Telecommunications, Packaging, Glass and Infrastructure sectors, while selling was witnessed in Construction, Trading, IT - Hardware, Learning & Education and Cement sectors during the day.
