NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Thursday.

Shares of DLF(up 0.93 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 0.68 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Godrej Properties(down 6.42 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 3.0 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 2.91 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.68 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.55 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 1.74 per cent down at 486.9.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 219.8 points at 17560.2, while the BSE Sensex stood down 770.31 points at 58788.02.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 ended in the green, while 39 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Dhani Ibull Ventures, PNB, JP Power and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Garware Poly, Spectrum Electrical, Himadri Speciality, Shivalik Bimetal and Aakash Exploration hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Precision Metaliks Ltd., Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., Akzo Nobel, Mallcom(India)and DC Infotech hit their fresh 52-week lows.
