Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 19.18 crore), Inventure Grwth(numbers of share traded: 13.32 crore), Dhani Ibull Ventures(numbers of share traded: 10.59 crore), Himadri Speciality(numbers of share traded: 9.62 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 8.50 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 7.30 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.89 crore), Sintex Inds.(numbers of share traded: 5.89 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 5.60 crore) and Reliance Power(numbers of share traded: 5.52 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 219.8 points down at 17560.2, while BSE Sensex ended down 770.31 points at 58788.02.

On the other hand, Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 3.26 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 3.19 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.86 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.72 per cent) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 2.55 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
