Avenue Supermart shares gain 0.29% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Avenue Supermarts Ltd. traded at Rs 4235.35 on BSE at 12:53PM (IST) on Wednesday, up 0.29 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 2638.0 and a high of Rs 5899.9.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 185.45 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 22.84 per share and 15.17 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 4,722 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:53PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 274387.64 crore and is part of the Supermarkets industry.

The scrip has been an outperformer , up 47.73 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 22.98 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 4283.0 and Rs 4213.55.

Promoters held 74.99 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2021. FII and MF ownership in Avenue Supermarts Ltd. stood at 9.44 per cent and 6.23 per cent, respectively.
