Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Spandana Sphoorty(up 17.11%), Dhanvarsha Finvest(up 16.47%), Nahar Poly Film(up 15.53%) and Everest Ind(up 15.44%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 517.55 points up at 59380.12, while the 50-share index, NSE was 146.95 points up at 17723.8.
In the Nifty50 index, 37 stocks traded in the green, while 13 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Dhanvarsha Finvest, Nahar Poly Film, Everest Ind, Trans & Rectif and Safari Ind hit their fresh 52-week high, while Riddhi Corp. Service, Superior Finlease, Janus Corporation, MAC Hotels and Hind Nat Glass touched their new 52-week low during the session.
