SC reiterates recommendations to elevate 5 judicial officers, 3 advocates as judges of various High Courts

The Collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India, which met on February 1, resolved to reiterate the recommendations for elevation of judicial officer Pradeep Kumar Srivastava as a judge of the Jharkhand High Court, judicial officers U S Joshi-Phalke and B P Deshpande to the Bombay High Court and judicial officers Shampa Dutt (Paul) and Siddhartha Roy Chowdhury as judges of the Calcutta High Court.

It also decided to reiterate the recommendations to elevate advocate Cheppudira Monnappa Poonacha as a judge of the Karnataka High Court and advocates Khatim Reza and Anshuman Pandey as judges of the Patna High Court.

Besides the reiterations, the SC Collegium also approved the proposals for elevation of advocate Rajiv Roy as a judge of the Patna High Court and judicial officers Poonam A Bamba, Neena Bansal Krishna, Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Anoop Kumar Mendiratta, Swarana Kanta Sharma and Sudhir Kumar Jain as judges of the Delhi High Court.

It also approved the proposal to elevate advocates Kasoju Surendhar alias K Surender, Chada Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, Surepalli Nanda, Mummineni Sudheer Kumar, Juvvadi Sridevi alias Kuchadi Sridevi, Mirza Safiulla Baig and Natcharaju Shravan Kumar Venkat as judges of the Telangana High Court.

The Collegium also cleared the elevation of judicial officers G Anupama Chakravarthy, M G Priyadarshini, Sambasivarao Naidu, A Santosh Reddy and D Nagarjun to the Telangana High Court.

K Surender, C V Bhaskar Reddy, S Nanda, M Sudheer Kumar, J Sridevi, M Safiulla Baig and N Shravan Kumar Venkat and judicial officers G Anupama Chakravarthy, M G Priyadarshini, S Naidu, A Santosh Reddy and D Nagarjun to the Telengana High Court.
