Rajya Sabha will debate on the motion of thanks on the President's address today after the presentation of the Union Budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman yesterday.

Issues are raised by members during the debate on the president's address which is a statement of policy of the government and is drafted by the government. The Union Budget will also be debated today.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget yesterday. Presenting the Union Budget 2022-23 she said that the budget will lay the foundation for India's economic growth and expansion for the next 25 years. adding that India is in a strong position to withstand future challenges and the government's focus will continue on boosting public investment to modernise infrastructure..

The Budget Session of Parliament is scheduled to conclude on April 8 where the first part of the session will extend up to February 11.
