
NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Sumuka Agro Ind.(20.0%), Pyxis Finvest(16.74%) and Manomay Tex India(15.09%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 848.4 points up at 58862.57, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 237.0 points up at 17576.85.
In the Nifty50 index, 36 stocks closed in the green, while 14 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Sumuka Agro Ind., Bharat Road Net, BN Rathi Sec, Megastar Foods and Ganesha Ecosp hit their fresh 52-week high, while Source Natural, Janus Corporation, Lynx Machinery, Suvidha Infra and MAC Hotels touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
