NEW DELHI: Shares of Vedanta Ltd. traded 1.17 per cent up in Tuesday's trade at 11:37AM (IST). Around 206,936 shares changed hands on the counter.

The stock opened at Rs 322.9 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 327.85 and Rs 322.1, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Vedanta Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 385.75 and a 52-week low of Rs 161.45.

As per BSE, the total market cap of the Vedanta Ltd. stood at Rs 121440.89 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 31074.0 crore for the quarter ended 30-Sep-2021, up 6.6 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 29151.0 crore and up 42.91 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 21744.0 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 4615.0 crore, up 460.07 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Dec-2021, DIIs held 1.17 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 8.67 per cent and the promoters 0.0 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 5.59 and a price-to-book ratio of 1.37. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
