NEW DELHI: Shares of Precision Metaliks Ltd., Jainam Ferro Alloys(I)Ltd., Bharat Road Net, Ganesha Ecosp and Chemfab Alkalis, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 237.0 points up at 17576.85 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Timescan Logistics(India)Ltd., Hind Nat Glass, Dynamic Services & Security Ltd., Vaibhav Global and Atal Realtech, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 36 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 14 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, Sun Pharma, IndusInd Bank, Shree Cements and Hindalco were among top gainers during the day, while BPCL, Indian Oil Corp., Tata Motors, M&M and SBI Life ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 848.4 points up at 58862.57.

Traders piled up positions in Airlines, Metals - Ferrous, Cement, Construction and Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in Trading, Rubber, Auto, Fertilisers and Financial Services sectors during the day.
