DCM Shriram Industries(up 7.16%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 3.08%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 1.80%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 0.42%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 0.30%) and Balrampur Chini Mills(up 0.24%) stood among the top gainers.
BAJAJHIND(down 3.57%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(down 3.51%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 2.80%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 2.50%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 2.34%), AVADHSUGAR(down 2.33%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 2.30%), Rana Sugars(down 2.28%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 1.93%) and Sakthi Sugars(down 1.83%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 237.0 points up at 17576.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 848.4 points at 58862.57.
Tata Steel(up 7.54%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 6.86%), IndusInd Bank(up 5.76%), Shree Cement(up 5.04%), Hindalco Industries(up 4.49%), Larsen & Toubro(up 4.26%), UltraTech Cement(up 4.16%), JSW Steel(up 4.03%), ITC(up 3.43%) and Britannia Industries(up 3.43%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 4.58%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 2.76%), Tata Motors(down 2.6%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.82%), SBI Life(down 1.48%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.14%), State Bank of India(down 1.11%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.96%), Eicher Motors(down 0.88%) and Bharti Airtel(down 0.86%) closed in the red.
