The first leg of the Union Budget Session 2022 began on Monday with the address of President Ram Nath Kovind. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also appealed to all the MPs to keep politics aside during the session.

In this budget session only India's economic progress, a vaccination campaign and its vaccine manufacturing is creating confidence in the whole world."
Modi said that in this budget session, the open-minded discussions of our parliamentarians can become an important opportunity for India to make a global impact.
"I hope that all respected MPs, all political parties will definitely be a help in taking the country on the path of progress, in accelerating it by having a good discussion with an open mind," added Modi.
Modi urged all the MPs to cooperate in the Parliament proceedings. The budget session is kind of a blueprint for the whole year and hence very important. As much as we make this session more fruitful, the year will also be a great opportunity to take India to new economic heights, said Modi.
