Meanwhile, Everton also confirmed the appointment of England legend Frank Lampard as their new manager after sacking Rafa Benitez earlier this month. Manchester City confirmed the Julian Alvarez signing from River Plate while Tanguy Ndombele sealed a loan move to Lyon from Tottenham. Burnley signed Wout Weghorst to replace Chris Wood.
Tottenham completed the double signings of Dejan Kulusevski on loan and Rodrigo Bentancur on a permanent deal from Juventus with the Italian club signing Denis Zakaria from Borussia Mรถnchengladbach. Spurs also confirmed that Giovani Lo Celso has joined Spanish side Villareal on loan. Newcastle, meanwhile, added a fourth signing to their squad after sealing a loan move for Aston Villa’s Matt Targett.
