Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Inventure Grwth(number of shares traded: 10.07 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 10.01 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 5.57 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 5.02 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 4.24 crore), TV18 Broadcast(number of shares traded: 3.63 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 3.23 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 2.97 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 2.79 crore) and Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.66 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:55AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 208.45 points up at 17318.6, while BSE Sensex was up 624.2 points at 57901.14 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 4.52 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 4.22 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.25 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.83 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.78 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.01 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 0.22 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
