Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Infosys(Rs. 1871.18 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1838.86 crore), RIL(Rs. 1589.35 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 1541.34 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1378.16 crore), SBI(Rs. 1309.34 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1237.31 crore), TCS(Rs. 1164.15 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1115.60 crore) and Tata Motors(Rs. 1095.46 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 8.2 points down at 17101.95, while BSE Sensex fell 76.71 points to 57200.23.

In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 3.81 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 2.37 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.87 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 3.05 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.16 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.70 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
