Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
TV18 Broadcast(up 19.92%), Filtra Consultants &(up 18.16%) and Punjab Alkalies(up 18.08%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 1094.94 points down at 56763.21, while the 50-share index, NSE was 320.7 points down at 16957.25.
In the Nifty50 index, 4 stocks traded in the green, while 46 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as TV18 Broadcast, Punjab Alkalies, Ambica Agarbathies & Aroma Industries Ltd., Parshva Enterprises and Variman Global Enter hit their fresh 52-week high, while IndiaMART, CarTrade Tech, Fabino Life Sciences Ltd., Hind Nat Glass and HDFC AMC touched their new 52-week low during the session.
