Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 11.45 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 8.97 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 5.63 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 5.08 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 4.71 crore), TV18 Broadcast(number of shares traded: 3.50 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.23 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 2.81 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.06 crore) and MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 1.86 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:55AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 309.05 points down at 16968.9, while BSE Sensex was down 1052.13 points at 56806.02 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.69 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.58 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(up 0.08 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up -0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Titan Company Ltd.(down 4.73 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 3.66 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 3.27 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 3.05 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 2.88 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
