Hind.Foods(up 5.07%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 4.68%), Godrej Consumer Products(up 3.91%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 2.86%), Future Consumer(up 2.80%), Vadilal Industries(up 2.65%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.36%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 2.16%), Parag Milk(up 1.96%) and Hindustan Unilever(up 1.87%) stood among the top gainers.
Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 5.88%), Nakoda Group(down 4.98%), Varun Beverages(down 3.10%), P & G Hygiene(down 2.94%), Marico(down 0.83%), Jyothy Labs(down 0.73%), Dabur India(down 0.60%), Dangee Dums(down 0.36%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 0.32%) and Prataap Snacks(down 0.01%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 128.85 points up at 17277.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 366.64 points at 57858.15.
Maruti Suzuki(up 6.83%), Axis Bank(up 6.76%), State Bank of India(up 4.15%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.88%), UPL Ltd(up 3.74%), Bharti Airtel(up 3.18%), Coal India(up 3.1%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.8%), Bajaj Auto(up 2.57%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.53%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Wipro(down 1.75%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.13%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.1%), Infosys(down 0.84%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.83%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.81%), HDFC(down 0.36%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 0.33%), Asian Paints(down 0.26%) and Reliance Industries(down 0.2%) closed in the red.
