Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 427.44 points down at 59037.18 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Atam Valves(down 19.25 per cent), Supriya Lifescience Ltd.(down 18.48 per cent), Titaanium Ten Enterp(down 16.88 per cent), Nirav Comm(down 12.88 per cent) and Dhanashree Electro(down 11.63 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 15 stocks closed in the green, while 35 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 139.85 points down at 17617.15.
On the BSE, Brandbucket Media & Technology Ltd., Zomato Ltd., Superior Finlease, Strides Shasun and Spandana Sphoorty hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Baba Arts, GlobalSpace Techno, Times Green Energy(India)Ltd., Punjab Comm and Linc Pen Plast touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
