Hindustan Unilever(up 2.81%), Nestle India(up 1.28%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 0.72%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.43%), Britannia Industries(up 0.36%), Vadilal Industries(up 0.15%) and Prataap Snacks(up 0.11%) stood among the top gainers.
Nakoda Group(down 5.00%), Heritage Foods(down 4.68%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 3.71%), Zydus Wellness(down 3.06%), Dodla Dairy(down 2.59%), Hind.Foods(down 2.59%), Varun Beverages(down 2.56%), ADF Foods(down 2.17%), Parag Milk(down 2.08%) and Marico(down 2.03%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 139.85 points down at 17617.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 427.44 points at 59037.18.
Bajaj Auto(up 3.36%), Hindustan Unilever(up 2.81%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.91%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.5%), Nestle India(up 1.28%), HDFC(up 0.92%), HDFC Bank(up 0.83%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.66%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.43%) and Britannia Industries(up 0.36%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv(down 5.35%), Tech Mahindra(down 4.4%), Shree Cement(down 3.97%), Coal India(down 3.82%), Divis Laboratories(down 3.47%), Tata Steel(down 3.07%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 3.03%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.89%), Bharti Airtel(down 2.82%) and Tata Motors(down 2.69%) closed in the red.
