
NEW DELHI: Shares of IFB Agro, Cambridge Tech, The Andhra Sugars, Control Print and Coffee Day Ent, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 181.4 points down at 17757.0 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as McDowell Hold, Zydus Wellness, SBI Cards, Mas Fin Services and Spandana Sphoorty, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 15 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 35 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Power Grid, Bharti Airtel, Grasim Inds., JSW Steel and Britannia were among top gainers during the day, while Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Auto, Divis Labs, Infosys and TCS ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 634.2 points down at 59464.62.
Traders piled up positions in Trading, Sugar, Power, Textiles and Retail sectors, while selling was witnessed in Miscellaneous, IT Enabled Services, Cables, Hospitals & Allied Services and Auto Ancillaries sectors during the day.
