ReutersNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 554.05 points down at 60754.86 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Brandbucket Media & Technology Ltd.(down 19.97 per cent), Escorp Asset Manage(down 19.75 per cent), The Anup Engg(down 16.55 per cent), Galactico Corporate(down 12.08 per cent) and SPL Industries(down 11.95 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 8 stocks closed in the green, while 42 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 195.05 points down at 18113.05.
On the BSE, Dilip Buildcon, Uday Jewellery, Spandana Sphoorty, IGL and Genomic Valley Biote hit their fresh 52-week lows, while U H Zaveri, Khandwala Sec, King Infra Ventures, OM Metal Infra and BN Rathi Sec touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
