New Delhi: Users of messaging service Telegram reported outages worldwide on Monday. The outage reportedly occurred at around 8 pm (IST). However, the issue was resolved later.
Several users across the world took to Twitter and complained about not being able to access the app as the platform shows “updating” or “connecting”.
Downdetector, a popular downtime tracking site, reported more than 7,000 instances of outages on the app.
Telegram via its Twitter handle acknowledged the outage saying, "Users in East Asia, Indonesia, India and Australia could have experienced some connection problems. Sorry! Everything's back to normal now."
