Stock market update: Mining stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower on Tuesday at 10:19AM

Lexus Granito(up 4.81%), KIOCL(up 1.02%), Pokarna(up 0.32%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.17%) and Aro Granite Industries(up 0.12%) were among the top gainers.

Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 4.94%), 20 Microns(down 4.24%), Oriental Trimex(down 2.68%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 1.33%), NMDC Ltd(down 1.21%), MOIL(down 0.58%), Ashapura Minechem(down 0.58%) and Coal India(down 0.27%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 113.0 points down at 18195.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 325.87 points at 60983.04 at around 10:19AM.

Axis Bank(up 1.55%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.97%), HDFC Bank(up 0.6%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 0.32%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.1%) and Bajaj Finance(up 0.03%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Eicher Motors(down 3.24%), Maruti Suzuki(down 2.85%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.61%), UltraTech Cement(down 2.29%), Divis Laboratories(down 2.12%), UPL Ltd(down 2.04%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.82%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.79%), HCL Technologies(down 1.65%) and Hero MotoCorp(down 1.59%) were trading in the red.
