Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: A number of stocks surged as much as 5% or more in Monday's trade on Dalal Street as benchmark Sensex traded 4.8 points up at 61227.83 level on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among these top gainers were Bilcare Ltd(up 9.99%), Alkali Metals(up 9.99%), Binny Ltd(up 9.98%), Intnl Travel(up 9.98%), Kellton Tech(up 9.98%), Affordable Robotic(up 9.97%), Alacrity Sec(up 9.96%), Gian Life Care(up 9.95%), KIC Metaliks(up 9.93%) and Vaswani Ind(up 9.93%).
In the Nifty 50 index, the top gainers included Hero MotoCorp(up 5.69%), ONGC(up 3.97%), Maruti Suzuki(up 3.24%), Tata Motors(up 2.34%) and Bajaj Auto(up 1.78%).
The Nifty 50 index was trading 11.25 points higher at 18267.00.
Among the 50 components in the Nifty pack, 24 shares traded in the green, while 25 traded in the red.
