Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 19.96%), Madras Fertlizers(up 10.83%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 8.55%), Aries Agro(up 4.23%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 4.19%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 3.72%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.37%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 3.30%), National Fertilizer(up 3.13%) and G S F C(up 3.01%) stood among the top gainers.
Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.42%), KRISHANA(down 1.36%), ZUARIAGRO(down 0.43%) and Sikko Industries(down 0.21%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 52.35 points up at 18308.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 85.88 points at 61308.91.
Hero MotoCorp(up 5.13%), Grasim Industries(up 3.31%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.98%), Tata Motors(up 2.96%), UltraTech Cement(up 2.74%), JSW Steel(up 2.45%), Maruti Suzuki(up 2.24%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 2.22%), SBI Life(up 1.93%) and Shree Cement(up 1.72%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HCL Technologies(down 5.87%), HDFC Bank(down 1.53%), Britannia Industries(down 1.26%), Axis Bank(down 1.25%), Cipla(down 1.23%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.88%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.76%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.67%), Coal India(down 0.64%) and Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.36%) closed in the red.
