Bigg Boss 5 Tamil Grand Finale LIVE: The episode is airing on Vijay Television.The finale of the fifth season of Bigg Boss Tamil is finally here. Hosted by Kamal Haasan, the show will run for nearly five hours. The broadcast of the final episode of this season is airing on Vijay Television. The viewers can also stream it live on Disney Plus Hotstar.
The fifth season was launched on October 3 last year. Usually, the new season begins in June and ends in September. The outbreak of the pandemic, however, has upset the regular calendar of the show. The fourth season went on air in September 2020 and concluded in January 2021.
The fifth season began with as many as 18 contestants who were handpicked from different social, economic and cultural backgrounds. There were also two Tamil speaking contestants of foreign origin. The diverse group of individuals made for an effective microcosm of society as they brought in different beliefs, ideologies and political thinking to the show.

The winner will be selected from five finalists — Niroop, Raju, Amir, Priyanka and Pavni.
While Raju, Priyanka and Pavni managed to get to the final stage with the support of the audience, Niroop and Amir secured their position as finalists by winning certain games. Amir was the winner of the ticket to finale task, in which he beat Ciby.
Kamal Haasan pays a visit to the top two finalists in the house and exchanges pleasantries. He also takes a polaroid picture individually with Raju Jeyamohan and Priyanka Deshpande. He came bearing gifts from his fashion line, KH House of Khaddar, and perfume brand. And then he leads them out of the house.

Bigg Boss makes a rather lengthy farewell speech as he is about to bid goodbye to Raju Jeyamohan and Priyanka Deshpande. He heaps praises on them and makes both emotional. As per the show's tradition, Kamal Haasan will escort the top two finalists of the house.
Three bikers were sent inside the house to bring Pavni Reddy out. 'I am so happy to have secured the third position in the show. I feel a lot stronger now to face the challenges in my life,' Pavni tells Kamal on the stage. Next Kamal will go inside the house to escort the top two finalists, Raju Jeyamohan and Priyanka Deshpande, out of the house.

Kamal Haasan announces 'Bigg Boss Ultimate', a 24/7 format of the show that will be made available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.
"I am very fortunate to be associated with the film. This film will be something we all will be proud of," says Sivakarthikeyan on the Bigg Boss stage. It is noteworthy that he began his career in the show business as an anchor on Vijay Television.
Kamal Haasan praises director Rajkumar Periasamy and Sivakarthikeyan and calls them on stage. Kamal officially launches his next film, which he will bankroll along with Sony Pictures Films India. "This film will make a splash not just in Tamil Nadu but across the country. It is not a wish but a prediction," says Kamal. The project marks Sony's maiden venture in Tamil cinema.
'I am disappointed,' says Amir after coming to stage. Kamal Haasan tells him not to be disappointed, while reminding him about the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Guru Dutt, Prabhu Deva and himself started their journey in the show business as choreographers.
Just to add suspense to a highly predictable order of eviction, Kamal Haasan made the four remaining finalists do a drill. He sent away each of them to various parts of the house. Priyanka Deshpande was asked to stay in the living area, Pavni Reddy was sent to the confession room, Raju Jeyamohan was sent to the storeroom and Amair was assigned to the activity area, from where he was escorted out of the house by a person dressed fully in PPE kit.
Kamal Haasan makes all four Bigg Boss Tamil 5 finalists to go to different places inside the Bigg Boss house. He says they won’t see each other now and announces another eviction. Amir is then evicted, reportedly as he got lesser number of votes.

Varun and Akshara deliver a peppy dance performance. They were both evicted a few weeks ago.
"I wanted to complete the race I started. And I did it," says Niroop Nandakumar after coming to the stage. He was the first contestant to be evicted from Bigg Boss Tamil 5.
A group of five dancers go in, make the finalists dance, blindfold them and escort Niroop Nandakumar out of the house through the front door. Niroop's eviction sort of makes other finalists emotional. It's really confusing as to why they would shed a tear for Niroop going out? What is the rationale behind their emotional response? Every one of them must leave the house today, right?
Family and friends of the five finalists are in attendance. The housemates use the opportunity to catch up on some personal things. Pleasantries and greetings were exchanged, words of encouragement were spoken and best wishes extended.
Kamal Haasan showers the finalist with gifts. Aamir gets dancing shoes, Pavni gets a wristwatch, Raju gets an expensive-looking pen, Priyanka gets a golden mic and Niroop gets a Fedora hat. Kamal says that he handpicked gifts keeping in mind each of the finalists' interests.
