Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 40.71 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 33.37 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 21.82 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 15.88 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 13.80 crore), Inventure Grwth(numbers of share traded: 9.08 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 7.66 crore), HFCL(numbers of share traded: 7.37 crore), Motherson Sumi(numbers of share traded: 4.48 crore) and Alok Industries(numbers of share traded: 4.07 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 2.05 points down at 18255.75, while BSE Sensex ended down 12.27 points at 61223.03.

On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.66 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 2.57 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 1.94 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
