Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Coastal Corp(up 20.0%) and Choice Intnl(up 15.12%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 229.76 points down at 61005.54, while the 50-share index, NSE was 60.65 points down at 18197.15.
In the Nifty50 index, 19 stocks traded in the green, while 31 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Coastal Corp, Choice Intnl, Coffee Day Ent, Orbit Exports and Lactose(India)hit their fresh 52-week high, while Superior Finlease, Suvidha Infra, Dilip Buildcon, Lerthai Finance and PayTM touched their new 52-week low during the session.
