Xiaomi has confirmed that its next flagship smartphone will launch in India on January 19. The Xiaomi 11T Pro was launched in other markets last year and will take on the OnePlus 9RT in the country. The smartphone is likely to be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000 in the country, according to a report by MySmartPrice. OnePlus 9RT is likely to be positioned in the same price category.
This means that Xiaomi 11T Pro will cost more than the Mi 11X Pro which was launched at Rs 39,999 for its base variant last year. Interestingly, both the smartphones pack the same Snapdragon 888 SoC. It will be interesting if Xiaomi offers a little extra on the Xiaomi 11T Pro.
The smartphone maker has already started teasing the phone on its social media platforms. Since it has launched in other markets, we already know most of its specifications. Whether Xiaomi tweaks the Indian variant or not, we will know on the launch day.
The smartphone will be equipped with Harmon Kardon-tuned dual speakers. It is likely to come in three storage variants - 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone should feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 1000nits peak brightness, HDR10+ certification and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
It will have a 5nm based Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. The camera system at the back is likely to consist of a 108-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5-megapixel tele-macro shooter. There should be a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The phone is likely to pack a 5000mAh battery and will support 67W fast charging. Other specifications include an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
