Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 31.92 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 29.56 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 25.81 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 24.47 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 13.26 crore), Inventure Grwth(numbers of share traded: 7.96 crore), Vikas Ecotech (numbers of share traded: 6.13 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 5.03 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 4.71 crore) and FCS Software(numbers of share traded: 4.33 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 45.45 points up at 18257.8, while BSE Sensex ended up 85.26 points at 61235.3.

On the other hand, Wipro Ltd.(down 6.02 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.47 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
