Heritage Foods(up 9.71%), Hind.Foods(up 4.17%), Britannia Industries(up 1.32%), Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 1.17%), Jyothy Labs(up 1.07%), Dangee Dums(up 1.00%), DFM Foods(up 0.98%), Nakoda Group(up 0.95%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 0.63%) and Parag Milk(up 0.62%) stood among the top gainers.
JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 3.47%), Umang Dairies(down 3.43%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 1.51%), Future Consumer(down 1.27%), Prataap Snacks(down 0.97%), ADF Foods(down 0.81%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.80%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.80%), Marico(down 0.66%) and Varun Beverages(down 0.42%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 45.45 points up at 18257.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 85.26 points at 61235.3.
Tata Steel(up 6.45%), JSW Steel(up 4.69%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 3.5%), Coal India(up 3.39%), UPL Ltd(up 2.26%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.24%), Divis Laboratories(up 2.16%), Cipla(up 1.97%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.92%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.75%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Wipro(down 6.02%), Asian Paints(down 2.47%), HDFC Bank(down 1.84%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.55%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.53%), HCL Technologies(down 1.32%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.15%), Grasim Industries(down 0.92%), Axis Bank(down 0.82%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.8%) closed in the red.
