Famous chef Ranveer Brar confirmed on Monday that he and his family have tested for the deadly coronavirus.

In an Instagram post, his post read, "No, Omicron is not mild."

While he didn't confirm who all contracted the infection, Brar said that he along with his family members have been Covid-positive for the last 10 days. He also informed that they are completely vaccinated with two doses.

Adding details to the difficult Covid-situation, the 43-year-old chef said that calling the last 10 days 'hard' would be an understatement.

In bold and capital letters, he urged his followers to not take Omicron lightly.

Brar's caption read, "Please do not convince yourself and others that it’s a MILD variant."

Besides Brar, several celebrities such as Mahesh Babu, Vir Das, Vishal Dadlani, Esha Gupta, Kubbra Sait, Madhur Bhandarkar, Mithila Palkar, Swara Bhasker, among others have contracted the infection.

Veteran Tamil actor Sathyaraj, popular across the nation for his role of Katappa in the 'Baahubali' franchise, was discharged from the hospital on Monday night.

According to reports, he was exhibiting serious symptoms and had to undergo treatment. However, no official statement was made from the Chennai hospital regarding his health condition.
