NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 11:21AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Granules India(up 2.31 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(up 2.27 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 1.44 per cent), Lupin(up 1.22 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.21 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Aurobindo Pharma(down 2.12 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(down 0.73 per cent), Cadila Healthcare(down 0.43 per cent) and Pfizer(down 0.03 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.63 per cent at 13945.9 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 29.45 points at 18032.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 131.68 points at 60527.31.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Suzlon Energy, SAIL and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of AB Cotspin India Ltd., Vaswani Ind, Elgi Rubber Co, Intnl Conveyors and Dynacons Sys hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd., Vikas Ecotech (PP), Policy Bazaar, PayTM and Spandana Sphoorty hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
