Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.80%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 3.81%), Agro Phos(up 2.32%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 2.08%), Aries Agro(up 1.64%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.57%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.53%), National Fertilizer(up 0.98%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.80%) and G S F C(up 0.44%) stood among the top gainers.
Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 3.72%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 1.85%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 1.59%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.36%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.07%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.91%) and KRISHANA(down 0.81%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 52.45 points up at 18055.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 221.26 points at 60616.89.
HCL Technologies(up 4.31%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.55%), HDFC(up 1.93%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.64%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.23%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.14%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.93%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.92%), Reliance Industries(up 0.72%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.69%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, JSW Steel(down 3.93%), Tata Steel(down 3.32%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.61%), Coal India(down 1.34%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.33%), Indian Oil Corporation(down 0.92%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.79%), Eicher Motors(down 0.75%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.72%) and Britannia Industries(down 0.66%) closed in the red.
