Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 146.83 points up at 60542.46 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Alacrity Sec(down 13.98 per cent), Captain Technocast(down 13.88 per cent), Vodafone Idea(down 12.12 per cent), Oriental Trimex(down 8.26 per cent) and Garnet Const(down 7.59 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks traded in the green, while 28 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 32.25 points up at 18035.55.
On the BSE, Yuranus Infrastruct, Policy Bazaar, PayTM and Garodia Chem hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Betex India, RTCL Ltd, Variman Global Enter, Vaswani Ind and Diana Tea Co touched their fresh 52-week highs.
