Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Vikas Ecotech (PP)(79.38%), Pil Italica Lifesty(20.0%), Generic Pharmasec(20.0%), Vascon Engineer(20.0%), Chemfab Alkalis(20.0%), Duncan Engineering (20.0%), 20 Microns(20.0%), Riddhi Siddhi(19.99%), CWD Ltd.(19.99%) and Betex India(19.97%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 650.98 points up at 60395.63, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 190.6 points up at 18003.3.
In the Nifty50 index, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Vikas Ecotech (PP), Vascon Engineer, 20 Microns, Riddhi Siddhi and CWD Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while PayTM, IDream Film, Garodia Chem, Janus Corporation and Lumax Ind touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
