With the model code of conduct coming into effect in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur, the Union Health Ministry has decided to “exclude” the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the Covid-19 vaccine certificates in these states.

An official source said, “Health Ministry will apply necessary filters on CoWIN platform to exclude picture of prime minister from COVID-19 certificates being given to people in five poll-bound states because of model code of conduct coming into force.”

The source said that they have already applied the filters and the name and photo of the Prime Minister were removed since Saturday night in five poll-bound states.
