The assembly elections in Goa this year will be held in a single phase on February 14, 2022, the Election Commission announced today.
The results will be out, along with those of other states, on March 10, the EC said.
In 2017, elections to the Goa legislative assembly were held in a single phase on February 4 to elect 40 members. No party crossed the halfway mark, but the Congress was the single largest party with 17 seats. But the BJP moved faster and formed the government with regional allies like the Goa Forward Party (GFP) and Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP)
