Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC(Rs. 1605.82 crore), RIL(Rs. 1474.52 crore), Titan Company (Rs. 1213.77 crore), SBI(Rs. 1126.81 crore), IRCTC(Rs. 1068.71 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 974.21 crore), TCS(Rs. 944.63 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 894.23 crore), Infosys(Rs. 879.16 crore) and HDFC Bank(Rs. 867.54 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 66.8 points up at 17812.7, while BSE Sensex rose 142.81 points to 59744.65.

In the Nifty index, Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 4.48 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 4.14 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.01 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.07 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
