
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 494.81 points up at 60096.65 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Hinduja Global(down 20.00 per cent), Captain Technocast(down 17.57 per cent), Dharani Finance(down 8.89 per cent), H S India(down 8.30 per cent) and Quint Digital Media(down 5.92 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 43 stocks traded in the green, while 7 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 147.2 points up at 17893.1.
On the BSE, Janus Corporation, PayTM, Policy Bazaar and Suvidha Infra hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Supershakti Metaliks, Vardhman Hold, Sat Industries, Diggi Multitrade and Manaksia Steels touched their fresh 52-week highs.
