Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 11.86 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 8.08 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 6.78 crore), G V Films(numbers of share traded: 4.74 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.36 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 3.36 crore), Inventure Grwth(numbers of share traded: 2.54 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 2.36 crore), Orient Green Pwr(numbers of share traded: 1.35 crore) and Suncare Traders(numbers of share traded: 1.31 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 179.35 points down at 17745.9, while BSE Sensex ended down 621.31 points at 59601.84.

On the other hand, JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.96 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.62 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.62 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(down 2.52 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 2.15 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
