Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:19AM

Coromandel International(up 1.01%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 0.92%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 0.84%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.83%), Agro Phos(up 0.82%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 0.70%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 0.51%), Madras Fertlizers(up 0.48%), ZUARIAGRO(up 0.48%) and Aries Agro(up 0.28%) were among the top gainers.

KRISHANA(down 1.63%), National Fertilizer(down 1.15%), G S F C(down 1.06%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.97%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.95%), Sikko Industries(down 0.82%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.47%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.18%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 211.7 points down at 17713.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 760.87 points at 59462.28 at around 10:19AM.

UPL Ltd(up 2.16%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.61%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.0%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.69%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.55%), SBI Life(up 0.34%) and Coal India(up 0.07%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.58%), HDFC(down 2.01%), Reliance Industries(down 1.77%), HDFC Bank(down 1.75%), HCL Technologies(down 1.74%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.72%), JSW Steel(down 1.63%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.63%), Infosys(down 1.55%) and ICICI Bank(down 1.52%) were trading in the red.
