Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Bajaj Finance(Rs. 35.34 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 24.22 crore), Tata Tele(Rs. 21.47 crore), Orient Green Pwr(Rs. 20.90 crore), SBI(Rs. 18.50 crore), Tilak Ventures (Rs. 14.81 crore), Urja Global(Rs. 14.50 crore), JK Cement(Rs. 13.97 crore), GTL Infra(Rs. 13.30 crore) and JP Power(Rs. 13.23 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 33.85 points up at 17839.1, while BSE Sensex was up 132.46 points at 59988.39 as of 10:04AM(IST)on January 05.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.95 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.(up 2.37 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.99 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.75 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.28 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.88 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.38 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent) were among the top losers.
