Marico shares decline 0.63% as Sensex climbs

Shares of the Ltd. traded at Rs 499.0 on BSE at 01:19PM (IST) on Wednesday, down 0.63 per cent from previous close.

The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 379.05 and a high of Rs 606.0.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.

A total of 37,205 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 01:19PM (IST).

The stock of Marico Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 64467.96 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 54.13, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 16.38. Return on equity (ROE) was at 36.49 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 272 stocks traded in the green, while 227 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 59.52 per cent in the Marico Ltd. as of 30-Sep-2021 while foreign and domestic institutional investors owned 25.92 per cent and 8.5 per cent, respectively.
