K.P.I. Global Infras(up 4.99%), Orient Green Power Company(up 4.92%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.76%), ADANIGREEN(up 2.41%), DPSC(up 2.37%), NHPC(up 0.48%), Adani Transmissions(up 0.35%), Voltamp Transformers(up 0.27%), Indo Tech Transformers(up 0.27%) and CESC(up 0.11%) stood among the top gainers.
Energy Development Company(down 4.96%), Karma Energy(down 4.95%), Indowind Energy(down 4.91%), Suzlon Energy(down 4.90%), RTNPOWER(down 4.73%), NTL(down 4.48%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 3.40%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 2.47%), JSW Energy(down 2.41%) and Alstom T&D India(down 2.22%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 120.0 points up at 17925.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 367.22 points at 60223.15.
Bajaj Finserv(up 4.98%), Bajaj Finance(up 4.46%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 3.75%), JSW Steel(up 3.59%), Grasim Industries(up 3.25%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.81%), Eicher Motors(up 2.72%), Tata Steel(up 2.51%), Axis Bank(up 2.5%) and HDFC Bank(up 2.37%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 2.92%), Infosys(down 2.87%), HCL Technologies(down 1.7%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.37%), Wipro(down 1.11%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.93%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.93%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.71%), NTPC(down 0.68%) and Tata Consultancy(down 0.61%) closed in the red.
