NEW DELHI: Shares of (India) Ltd. traded 0.29 per cent up in Tuesday's trade at 12:28PM (IST). Around 8,384 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 1468.15 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1470.85 and Rs 1456.85, respectively, in the session so far. The stock of Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 1823.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1393.0.

Total market cap of the Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. stood at Rs 39904.37 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1358.93 crore for the quarter ended 30-Sep-2021, up 16.03 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 1171.18 crore and up 5.09 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 1293.05 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 269.17 crore, down 1.83 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Shareholding pattern
As of 30-Sep-2021, domestic institutional investors held 2.65 per cent stake in the firm, while foreign institutional investors held 19.14 per cent and the promoters 51.0 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 37.45 and a price-to-book ratio of 36.38. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
