NEW DELHI: Shares of Indo Rama Synth, Mirza Intnl, ARSS Infra, Shree Rama Multi and Affle(India), hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:50AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 61.5 points to 17687.2 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd., A and M Jumbo Bags L, Shri Ram Switchgears, HEC Infra Projects and McDowell Hold, touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 31 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 19 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, NTPC, ONGC, Power Grid, SBI and Axis Bank were among top gainers, while Tata Motors, Tata Consumer, Infosys, HCL Tech and Cipla traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 240.59 points up at 59423.81 at 10:50AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Consumer Durables, Sugar, Irrigation & Allied Services and Defence sectors, while selling was visible in Miscellaneous, Services, Diversified, Learning & Education and Tourism & Hospitality sectors.
